My baby crawled around inside a playpen, while I sat for 12 hours cleaning the floors, as well as removing the wallpaper. Ha! It was all falling in place, yet it was not quite done. I wanted to balance being a mother and a successful business owner. Growing Days seemed like the best fit. Nora, my 4th kid was born in 2013. Although I was happy about the direction my company was taking, I realized that I was in need of some time off. I took a pause from creating vintage furniture and slowed down my pace to be at home to help my children. It was exactly what I needed. But after a couple of months off the phone started to call. The people who called me were asking for help with their interior decorating and home remodeling. A majority of those calling me came from people who visited my home at one of the furniture open houses. In the following time I started taking on clients in my own way. Before long I had numerous accounts as well as a home remodeling business. There is a good chance that I would have been laughing if I had been told that the business was going to be part of a forthcoming tv program on DIY Network. It's true that I amused when I think of the idea.
