Following the strike, students all around participated in Thunberg's #FridaysforFuture protests. Students opted to skip Friday school in protest against global warming. Climate campaigners around the globe joined forces in the year 2019 to organize for the Global Strike for Climate. This was a huge success. There were more than 1.6 million participants from more than 125 countries took part.
