Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on December 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast. She holds the record for being awarded 10/10 marks in an Olympic competition. Comaneci was first discovered by Bela Karolyi later the Romanian gymnastics coach at the time she was six years old. She first competed in the national junior championships of 1969 and finished 13th. She took the title in 1970. She won three golds in her first competition in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972, which was a communist bloc countries. In 1973 and 1974, she became the junior champion in all-round competitions. She took home four gold medals and one silver in her first international competition for seniors, held in 1975. This was her first time she had competed as a senior. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first female to do a reverse double salto, which is dismounting from the uneven bars parallel to each other. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens she began her career in the entertainment business performing as a figure skater. Together with her younger twin brother Nina Wayne she was part of a show that traveled called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6, 1942, at Chicago Illinois US. Carol ventured into the entertainment industry in her teens. When she was a child, she began performing as an ice skater with Nina Wayne in the travelling show of entertainment Ice Capades. These shows included the ice skating of which was performed to music from the stage.
