Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri was an Indian actress who achieved notoriety for her roles in Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. In the 1980s when she started her acting career. She became popular with the role of Tezaab in which she appeared alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Her next appearance was in Dil in which she starred alongside Aamir. In her early years, the Mumbai-born dancer began developing her skills at a young age. At the age of 16 she started acting, and suffered for several years as the majority of her early films failed. Her fame grew and she became one of the top film actresses. Following her wedding, she took a brief absence from acting prior to returning. In recent times, she was a key player in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which, eight were awarded. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award in India was awarded to her. The award was also given to her for her work in the social sector.
